Eleuthera Travel GuideNotes for April 24, 2027Travel FAQ
Events will take place Friday the 23rd, Saturday the 24th, and Sunday the 25th. We recommend arriving Thursday, as weather delays are common. Feel free to stay longer than just the weekend.
Eleuthera is a narrow, 80 mile long island just over 200 miles east and south of Miami.
Getting There
There are three airports on Eleuthera spaced along its length. Governors Harbor (GHB) is the closest, with daily flights from Nassau. However, we recommend flying into North Eleuthera (ELH), as there are daily flights direct from the U.S.
North Eleuthera
- American Airlines: Nonstop flights from Miami and Charlotte
- Delta Airlines: Nonstop from Atlanta
- Numerous smaller airlines from Nassau (NAS)
Governors Harbour
- American Airlines: Nonstop from Miami and Charlotte
- Numerous smaller airlines from Nassau (NAS)
Where to Stay
The wedding will take place in Governors Harbour, with events both in town and at the Frost Houses on Banks Road. There are plenty of rentals in Governors Harbour and along Banks Road, but we suggest Pineapple Fields, as is right across the street.
Pineapple Fields
Walking distanceAcross the street from the Family Houses, condo style with 1 bedroom units at $378/night and 2 bedroom units at $499/night. Pullout couches in both.
Squire Estates
Not walking distanceAlong the scenic hill section of Governors Harbour, a couple of historic rentals in the ~$350–$600/night range for two to six people.
Airbnb / VRBO
There are a number of independent rentals as well, if that’s more your speed. Some are walking distance from the houses, but most are not.
What to Bring
Eleuthera in April is usually about 80 to 85 degrees during the day, and gets down to about 70 degrees at night. If it’s windy it can actually feel a little chilly some nights.
